The temperature is currently in the 20's and the city was pretty dead yesterday since most of us wanted to stay off the roads. Snow fell pretty heavily on Monday night and cars were slipping all over the roads. It took Lily 3 1/2 hours to travel about 15 miles. However, one of my friends did give me a driving lesson since I've never really learned how to drive a manual transmission. We found a large, dry, isolated parking lot to practice in before I hit the streets. Yes, I stalled a couple times, but it helped having a patient teacher in the passenger seat. It sure beats being 16 and having my mother clutch the seat while I first attempted to drive.
